FAMILY PRAYER MEETING

Family Prayer Meetings are conducted to bring all family members together for fellowship and prayer. Mathew 18: 20 says “Where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them”. When we come together and pray, we experience the presence of God.

We usually conduct prayer meetings on Saturday evenings. The Saturday evening prayer meeting enables us to prepare spiritually for the Holy Qurbana on Sunday. It starts with convention songs, evening Prayer, and sermon, Bible studies, praying for the sick and suffering families and finally ends with a fellowship dinner. This year, we are having a separate Bible study session for the children in English so that children can participate, interact and understand better. Usually, Church members voluntarily sign up for the Prayer Meeting. Many members like to conduct the Prayer Meetings in connection with their Children’s birthdays, their relatives’ departed remembrance or wedding anniversaries.

Prayer meetings enhance spiritual enrichment. It provides nourishment for the soul and body. Younger generation should actively participate in Prayer Meetings so that they will become more aware of our traditions, culture and will enable us and them to grow in faith. As a Church, we should encourage Prayer Meeting so that we can grow in love and lead model Christian lives in our Community.  Let us all pray that Prayer Meetings lead us and our Church to further reach perfection in being a worshipping, serving, loving and witnessing community.
